I'm with you on the fence.  I'm for closing our borders to all illegal 
traffic.  For years political and economic powers have turned a blind eye to 
illegal workers.

Without another word....LET US CLOSE THAT BORDER!

No amnesty should reward illegal behavior.  Now!  I will stand against any 
person who wants to withhold medical treatment to any injured human being. 
I'll stand against that philosophically, and if it happens in my presence I 
reserve the right to use physical force to get obstruction to medical care 
out of the way.

Also, there are babies that have been born in America to illegal parents. 
With Cherokee blood in my veins I'll always stand for citizenship to those 
born upon this land.  I'll not support any kind of law that could possibly 
result in stateless human beings.  All humans have an inherent right to 
citizenship on the land upon which they are born.  I don't like the idea of 
giving illegal parents to an American born citizen child special 
breaks....but there must be a consideration for the privileges of the 
citizen.  I don't have the answer, but denying citizenship is out of the 
question in my opinion.

Personally, I like the idea of making working here illegally a misdemeanor. 
I'll not be for calling the effort to work a felony as long as the work 
itself was otherwise legal and honest.
So those who are here as parents of  should turn themselves in.  How about 
we adjudicate the offense with a six month probation, some classes on 
citizenship, and Community Service...6 months hard (not abusive...just hard) 
labor building a monument Great Wall of America out of indigenous stone. 
Let the monument celebrate the economic prosperity of our country that 
attracted millions to want to join the Great American Experiment.  It could 
also mark the time we awoke to the dangers of the criminals that took down 
the WTC.
