Euthanasia banned in Australia !

At 1:05am local time the Australian Senate passed Kevin Andrews'
private members Bill, the Euthanasia Laws Bill 1996, by 38 votes to
33.

"Living in Australia" thanks everyone involved in the campaign against
patient killing in Australia.

The Senate vote was close, without the concerted efforts of many
thousands of people the Senators may well have made the wrong choice.

The battle against euthanasia in the Territories is won, but the war
against patient killing in the States could be about to begin.
