The latest news is that the euthanasia debate in the ACT is down to a
single vote in the Assembly, the deciding member requested an
adjournment to seek the views of the electorate. This effectively
delays the decision until the outcome of the Andrews Bill in the
Senate is known.

If her decision to seek the views of the electorate is genuine, she will
be voting _against_ euthanasia. I base this statement on the fact that an
MP I interviewed during the House of Reps debate reported an unprecedented
number of contacts on the issue, 90% of them anti-euthanasia. A Senator
reported similar contact statistics more recently.

On the other hand, today's news reported that the ACT is running at an
annual deficit of more than $740.00 for every man, woman and child in 
the Territory. Perhaps that will affect her decision "Moore".
