Actually, Patrick was saying that he believed that other people had the
right to choose to die any way they wanted, although he might offer his
opinion of their behaviour if they asked him.  It's YOU who is arguing
for controlling every aspect of other people's behaviour - for their own
good of course; you are obviously much better placed to assess their
needs than they are, because your judgement is not clouded by knowledge
of the details of their circumstances.

You have a right to make decisions affecting you.  Grant other people
the right to do the same for themselves, and stop trying to force your
morality on them!
