San Francisco Chronicle June 27,2003

- Opponents of the move to recall Gov. Gray Davis are
asking their supporters to intimidate signature gatherers
and complain of harassment at stores where recall petitions
are circulating, stepping up the political battle taking place
in front of Wal-Marts and Home Depots across California.

In an e-mail message and Internet posting titled "How to Advocate
Against the Recall," Davis supporters were told, "It is OK to
stand in front of their table or approach potential signers
before they do, or otherwise inhibit their activity." The memo
instructs people to say they are "offended by being harassed"
and file complaints with managers of stores. /snip/

California election law makes it a crime to threaten petition
gatherers with violence or damage their property. It's also
illegal to bribe petition circulators to abandon their work.
/snip/

Tom Bader, coordinating the signature-gathering effort for the
Rescue California recall committee, said confrontations involving
petition workers in San Francisco were so frequent that he scaled
back and concentrated his efforts elsewhere, including San Diego,
Riverside and Orange counties. Recent figures from the secretary
of state show that only 7 percent of the recall signatures are
coming from the Bay Area. /snip/

Petition manager John Burkett, who has 100 people collecting
signatures in Riverside County, said his workers have been
approached and offered more money to work on the plebiscite.
Recall petitions have been defaced by people writing "Recall
Bush Instead!" on them, he said.

"A few weeks ago," said petition circulator Gloria Anderson,
48, who was working at a Home Depot in Redlands (Riverside
County), "I had some guy walk up and try to yank my sign down.
He called me a Republican bitch. I'm not even a Republican."

Why does this not surprise me..? When have "liberals" not acted like
spoiled children when they can't get the candy they want.

They are desperate now, and they have their marching orders: Invade
every public space they an find and swamp it with left-wing rhetoric.
Yell, cry, lie - do anything to get noticed.

Witness how they act in these newsgroups and other forums. A cadre
of loyal "liberals," spamming with "cut and paste" from leftist rags
under bogus names which they change almost daily.

And the more they turn to desperate measures, the more they lose even
the centrist Democrats whom I see starting to disagree with them.

Pathetic little children.

Bullshit. Plain, unadulterated, no-holds barred bullshit.

However we do have three cases of well documented Pug-Thug
harrassment:

1) Continuing harrassment of Hispanic voters at the polls in Orange
County CA, in one instance led by none other than Curt Pringle,
another Nazi wunderkind.

2) Statewide harrassment of black voters throughout Florida during the
2000 election by Jethro Bush, wannabe President of the USA.

3) Closure of the Miami-Dade County Registrar of Voters Office during
a lawful recount of ballots by a mob led by known RNC operatives.

It's your side that engages in these Gestapo-like tactics to scare off
and chase away anyone who doesn't think like you do, from Nixon right
on down to today. Distortion is also another hallmark of your side's
"truth-be-damned, win-at-any-cost" mentality.

Mr. Jandro likes to divert from the obvious reality that his posts are a total waste of

First of all they won't meet the July 11th deadline for a special
election.
Secondly trust the GOP to run out another slew of fringe candidates
(Issa, Simon) to guarantee and Democratic replacement.
