A blast from the no so distant past. Did you know Gray
Davis appointed a guy with over a million dollars worth
of Enron Stock to Oversee Electricity? Did you know
Davis had six advisers who had to leave due to similar
reasons? Gray Davis was very much PART of the mess
in California during the Power Crisis.

Read on:

Bruce Willison, who was appointed to the California
Electricity Oversight Board by Gov. Gray Davis in January
2000, has 12,052 shares of stock in Enron Corp. of Oregon,
according to his Statement of Economic Interests
filed earlier this year. /snip/

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Davis' press secretary,
Steve Maviglio, owned stock in Calpine Corp., a major state
energy company. And yesterday, The Chronicle reported that William
Keese, chairman of the California Energy Commission, held as much
as $500,000 in stocks last year in companies his agency oversaw.
/snip/

Last week, Davis fired five consultants hired to negotiate power
contracts for the state after learning that they held stock
in companies that sell power to California. A sixth consultant
resigned.
