TUWAITHA, Iraq - Environmental group Greenpeace called on the US-led coalition governing Iraq to clean up villages surrounding a nuclear site outside Baghdad that have been contaminated by "frightening levels" of radioactive material. One canister -- the size of a small car -- contained significant quantities of radioactive yellowcake and had been left open and unattended for more than 20 days on a busy section of open ground near the Tuwaitha plant, Greenpeace said Tuesday. from: http://www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0624-09.htm More: https://www.greenpeace.org.au/features/features_details.html?site_id=45&news_id=1115 Another article on Uranium all over Iraq: http://www.csmonitor.com/2003/0710/p07s02-woiq.html ------------------------------------------------------- Liberals tell us there is no Uranium in Iraq, and at the same time GreenPeace is over there saying the place is awash in Uranium.

The number of people Saddam Hussein's regime raped, tortured, maimed and slaughtered every week for 25 years was greater per week than the entire casualties since the allied invasion of Iraq. The invasion > ended the reign of terror. Mission accomplished. KM Care to show us where Saddam's actions against his people was a reason for going to war when Bush was talking it up? Didn't think so. Bush Lied and Innocent People Died. -- "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." The invasion > ended the reign of terror. Mission accomplished. KM Do you have any report citing the numbers of folks who died daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly under Saddam? I'm not asking sarcastically, I want to know if such numbers are available from any reasonably credible source. As to me being a 'sado-masochist'... well, your flame-claims are your own to justify -- I think the invasion, and occupation *as it was done* was wrong. The result *as it stands now* is unacceptable. It is unacceptable for America, and it's unacceptable for the innocent civilians of Iraq. Our military did *precisely* what they were told to do -- and more, they bear *none* of the burden for poor outcome in this... increasingly sticky mire. That burden, rests entirely, with those 'wise folk' in the WH. -- Usenet: a nice place to visit -- but I wouldn't want to live there. Dana Dare

Hussein was one of the worst despots who ever reigned and the allies put a stop to it which has driven the Leftwing Lunatic Fringe into unparalleled tantrums and historical heights of hysterian. Thanks for the priceless example of Leftwing Liberal repartee and illustration of the Left's inability to discuss the issues rationally. No amount of money and no amount of publicity could paint Leftwing Liberals in a worse light than they readily portray themselves. Among thinking people, they are their own worst enemas! Keep up the good work, but, don't hold your breath regarding the next election returns as you may be in for disappointment #3 in a row.
