This is a webpage of a Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) group about the
battle with the TAMU administration.
Again, I want to emphasize that I don't sympathize with their efforts, but
I think someone at TAMU needs to know.
The orginal name of the SCV was United Sons of Confederate Veterans, but
they became upset that USCV could be mistaken for United States Colored
Volunteers, so they changed the name. You can read it in Gaines' book
on the Lost Cause, titled "Ghosts of the Confederacy" LSU Press.
I have some webpages on the SCV at my website. Look under ORGANIZATIONS
