Hi All,

The tornado season is here, just around the corner, and my fears are
beginning to rise. Unless I get to know about you experiences or advices,
I'll still be feeling worried all the more.

Just today, I've heard and seen on TV about the deadly Tornado that
ripped apart a section of Giorgia. It was really scary just looking
at the news item.

Could any one of you suggest how to protect oneself and their family
during a severe thunderstorm. Has anybody faced a severe thunderstorm
lightning extravaganza (the loud explosion kind of thing) and waht you
did to overcome that kind of experience. What kind of safety features
would you advise (like staying away from telephones, showers etc.) ?

Thanks

Shekhoo.

Hi All,

I have a strange (as to my friends) phobia for thunderstorms and the
associated lightning. Whenever I get to know that there's going to be a
thunderstorm in our vicinity, I start feeling nervous, but my friends and even
my wife take everything very lightly. What I feel is that the lightning would
come into the wirings of my apartment house and jump on me. I watch the
weather bulletins religiously and I remember during last summer I did not
sleep for the entire night when I heard a loud clap of thunder at about 1
a.m. as if it was next to my house. Strangely enough, I am more scared of
lightning than tornadoes. If, somebody could assure me that if one could stay
away from telephones, unplug the tv and cable, stay away from electrical
outlets (he/she is fairly safe enough from indoor lightning, I could get some
peaceful sleep. I am already worried about the oncoming spring weather due to
the same. Pls advice or suggest something.
