Just so that I've covered all the bases, I decided to publish it here. On Wednesday, December 27th, and possibly into Thursday the 28th, we are upgrading ncrcan to NCR's System V R 3.1. It is currently running an SVR2 based OS. The length of time we are down depends on how smooth the upgrade goes (basically re-installation), and how long it takes to recompile all the news and public domain software I have collected over the years. We may also need to reconfigure the HDB UUCP if there are any changes between SVR2 and SVR3. Hopefully, for all involved, downtime will be kept to a minimum.
