My point to it all (and this is what disturbs me about the naysayers in this 
debate) is that there must be a point in a citizens life in which s/he must do 
something about illegality. I mentioned this in the Board list and I'll mention 
 it here. If there were pictures of my wife, daughter, sisters or mother posted 
to the net, depicting rape, murder, abuse, etc, etc, and the Board decided to 
do *nothing* until a judge forced them to, I'd GUARANTEE I'd sue the TFN and 
anything even *Imagined* to be related to the TFN so that the following five 
generations were indebted. And that's just the *legal* stuff I'd do. 

I'd like to see dmytri's reaction (and the other naysayers) to this debate if 
and when they ever became parents. What about the other readers of this thread? 
What if it was your daughter or wife or son being threatened or being depicted 
being threatened/abused/etc. Would you still be satisfied in waiting for those 
abominations to be removed by a judge? What would you think of the TFN for 
allowing such things to remain online? Would you, despite that it's your 
precious child, or wife, or sister, or mother, etc, being abused, harrassed, or 
depicted being abused, still feel the TFN was doing the 'right' thing by not 
acting as "Judge, Jury and executioner" a dmytri puts it? 

What if someone posted your credit card information, your credit history, your 
bank account numbers, your S.I.N. number, your medical records online (None of 
which, BTW, are all that hard to get, if you're of the mind)? Would you be 
content to allow your most important and vital information to remain online, 
doing God-knows-what damage to you and yours, while the TFN sat around and 
waited for a judge?

It's one thing for dmytri to argue that we are not enforcement agents, but lets 
face it, folks, this is the Internet. It's not like we're talking about forming 
vigilante gangs and walking around beating up people we don't like the look of.

Despite the above examples to the Board mailing list, dmytri STILL says he'd 
wait for a judge. THAT is the type of thinking that makes me ashamed to know 
him.

I made the promise to the BoD, and I'll make the same to any of you in the TFN: 
If I saw anything like that being posted by a TFN member, depicting such horrid 
crimes to your family or posting all your vital information, dmytri's martyr 
act be damned, I'd bloody well make sure the TFN removed the information. 

There is a certain point at which people have to take a step back and realize 
that some morals look really good on paper, but in practice, there are ALWAYS 
exceptions to the rule.
