thank R Brown for the time and effort it took to write such a post, 
including actually gathering examples from previous postings.

Yes, I do agree that an Acceptable Volunteer/employee Policy - my term 
for it - is badly needed, more than AUP is. In fact, the most common 
offenders have something to do with TFN one way or another (that includes 
me), except for 2 or 3 users who actually on the long run disappeared. 

bt351 problem has been raised before. He is one of the TFN volunteers 
who while taking charge of the office changed his (I believe personal 
account, not an official one) so as to cancel his name. This has raised 
some questions in newsgroups, but unfortunately no official response. 
Moreover, according to some posts, this same volunteer refuses to include 
other volunteers in 'his area'. 

This whole thread may have not come into light except for the obvious 
reason that it could not be solved within the BoD mailing list, due to 
the lack of defined rules of conduct. The recent resignation of Bill Chow 
was due to the same reason apparently. 

Unless TFN volunteers, employees and board lead by example, there is no 
hope in trying to force users to behave in newsgroups.
