Furthermore, your policy of locally cancelling crossposts to wpg.general
and 
man.general has the effect of cutting of Manitobans from the rest of the
net, rather
than cutting off distribution of wpg.* and man.* groups.

My reason for monitoring this group is that my wife spent 15 years in
Winnipeg and, 
with my familiarity with USENet, I assumed that wpg.general would be a
general 
discussion group ABOUT Winnipeg, rather than a restricted Manitoba BBS. 
Furthermore,
it seems to me that posts from someone about to visit Winnipeg SHOULD be
allowed, 
again, by any rational standard.
