This is a good question. You mention about the TFCN |"inheriting" the remains or such of the TFN. My question is how will |they inherit the remains and such of the TFN and is there anything stated |or listed in the bylaws to deal with when the TFN becomes bankrupt??? |Maybe they would sell off their assets and donate the money to a charity |or something??? Hmmm. Maybe that's something to check on. :) Of |course, the sale of assets should be done by an independent organization. :) In the event of a TFN failure there are strict procedures to ensure the fairest possible disposition of remaining assets. Nabil is either misinformed (as usual) or misrepresenting that scenario (or both). |: The board is certainly not seeking to achieve the passed motions in that |: last AGM (GUI, IRC) by the membership, something that may eventually save |: the TFN through a greater user support. | | Hmmmm. Ok. You mention the GUI and IRC. Well, the GUI, although |nice, is really a luxury item, right? As for the IRC, well, it too can |be considered a luxury item as well. Yes the IRC has been used with some |meetings I've heard or such and if it is available, it should be usable |by the general population here. | Though one thing you have to remember here. Anybody could have made a |suggestion to be voted on during the last AGM, right? If so, who says |that even if a suggest was made, it was a good suggest. You have to |think realistically. Just cause something sounds nice doesn't mean it |can be practical. Right now the HW/SW group is up to its eyeballs in preparing both the tiered-access & a new version of lynx for production - these are both _major_ efforts which proceed at the pace that volunteers with available time can give to it (including CSAS members). No matter what reality intervenes to indicate otherwise, I fear Mr. El-Khodari will continue to ignore it so he can contiune to rant and rave. Perhaps (as I and many others have done) the deployment of a killfile entry with your newsreader might be indicated... -- ,u, Bruce Becker Toronto, Ontario 1 416 699 1868 a /i/ Internet: bdb@gts.org Uucp: ...!gts!bdb `\o\-e "One must respect the customs of those who are unable to speak." _< /_ - Cody Ann Michaels
