In addition to the many, possibly
 hundreds of phoney Toronto FreeNet
 accounts there is strong indications
that dozens of bogus account citywide
wre created by the same persons.

These accounts have been used not
only to post fraudulant votes during
the past TFN elections. They were used
 for dirty tricks campaigns directed
 against candidates, volunteers and
critics of TFN and TFCN (Toronto
 Free Community Network). These dirty
 tricks involved faked discussions
on Usenet newsgroups, on IRC and
 in E-Mail flood campaigns.

 The most disturbing possiblity
is the Dirty Tricks campaign may
even have involved the sending of
 illegal materals under forged headers
to implicate or smear innocent persons.

You may ask your self why would any
decent person do such things - or -
what would anyone gain by such bad
activities. First we are dealing with
damaged and not very healthy people.
Second there is plenty to gain when
you understand the value of TFN and
 community networking in our future.
