In light of the extensive attacks and redicule of the I-Comm browser,
which I consider highly revolutionary for community networks needs,
particularly those running operating systems that are not compatible with
GUI, e.g. FreePort, I am re-posting the fact sheet of the
browser/terminal.
All I can say is that I personally tried it on the Finnish Network - that
adopted it as 'its browser' - which still runs FreePort. It is a
magnificent addition.

As always, Jordan either you do not know what you are talking about, or
you know and intentionally lie about it. Ryerson gave the TFN office 6 IP
addresses. One is used for not, the others were used for a variety of
'names' that included gts.torfree.net, csas.torfree.net, xor.torfree.net,
etc. This was documented by tracking them. The results were published in
the newsgroups long before the TFN had the misfortune of your
'volunteering'. You can check the archives for these posts. There is no
guarantee that they are still there.
I do suggest that you actually try 'go url' and type
http://gts.torfree.net and see where that would lead you, then we can
talk. Try it ;-()

You know the KISS rule? You are trying to install a program that is
intended only for Windows and OS/2 on a UNIX machine. Even if you have
XWindows running, the developers never tested it with that. So, no wonder...
The general membership, like myself, only have Windows 3.1 or Windows 95
[my apologies to Alex terminal users, DOS suers or Apple users, but they
are a minority I believe]. Once you have the program, it installs in 2
minutes and runs smoothly. Even the new 1.2 version - contrary to Jeff's
assertion that I failed to install it - only requires that you ignore an
error message that appears in the middle of the installation that the
setup program cannot find the license file. Just click on ignore and voila...
The reason I am sticking with version 1.15 however is that it is a
licensed version and I do not have to worry about the nagging
'unregistered copy' or 'please register' messages. You can also obtain a
copy of that version (which only differs from version 1.2 in that a
mailto bug has been fixed; i.e. if you want to be able to send e-mail
directly from your computer instead of going to a 'mail program') from
the Finnish Freenet.
