Wednesday evening I wanted a more substantial meal than I'd had at Clyde's the night before, so being a relative stranger in the area I was drawn to this Steakhouse across International Dr from Tyson's I. In the shadow of a new glittering diner, the "Stockyards" seated me in a dimly lit room in a padded oaken Captain's chair with hinges at nearly all the joints. A crock of cheese with crackers appeared before my dinner order was taken. The iced tea, though unfortunately only available unsweetened, was strong, cold, and bottomless. A tossed salad, served in a wide low bowl, was accompanied by a tasty honey-mustard dressing. My 24 oz. Porterhouse was over an inch and a half thick and was cooked exactly as I ordered it: black on the outside and hot and red on the inside. Fork tender, it satisfied me so that it was the next day before I realized I had not been served potato-- never missed it. For dessert I had a slice of their Grasshopper Pie. I'd go back there again -- that was the best steak I've had in five years. Yes, better than my last Angus Barn steak by half. Gregor
