No kidding!  It's freakin' impossible to go out on Friday with some of my
"can't deal with smoke" friends.  I sometimes wish they'd just learn to
smoke and get over it so I can go out with them on weekends.

Sure, it's a noxious habit that pollutes the air, but so is commuting to
work by car, and they don't seem to have a problem with driving.  They do
other things to harm their bodies, like eat fatty beef and pork, not sleep
enough, and drink alcohol.  Dealing with smoke in a bar or club is
something people just have to learn.  Besides, in LA it isn't very smoky
at all.  It's the only city I've been where clubs install smoke machines
and use them regularly -- there isn't enough cigarette smoke lingering in
the air!
