R. -- >---------------------------------------------------------------------- Only problem is--we as the people have not been asked to vote on this issue. I find it interesting that certain areas where the "powers that be" decided to abolish smoking in eating establishments backed down and chose not to implement their plans due to fear of a major loss in our judicial system (and yes, I realize there ARE areas where no smoking laws have been implemented--of which no one has yet filed any suit against such action). If, however, you feel the voice of the people has been heard on this issue, I agree! This is only one of many reasons the democrats were ousted in the last election--if you choose to vote to enact legislation in your best interests, and not with the will of your constituents--GOODBYE! And for the record--I AM A NON-SMOKER! Actually, an ex-smoker would be more accurate (have not smoked in 5 years). That was MY choice, and NOT one the government or others forced me to undertake. I do not like it any more than others when I go out to eat and someone fires up close to where I am sitting--yes, cigarettes smell horrible! BUT--if I find it that distasteful, I exercise my freedom of choice and either leave or do not frequent that establishment again. This is called "MATURITY"--NOT "let me decide what behavior should be exercised by those in my presence who may then do as they please when I am not around!" Jon
