1994 Volkswagen Passat GLX Sedan 4D

Retail Value $6,285
Private Party Value $4,175

Asking $3,900

Engine: V6 2.8 Liter
Trans: 5 Speed Manual
Drive: Front Wheel Drive
Mileage: 136,500

Exterior: Dark Green
Condition: as expected for mileage: no rust, a few scratches.
Interior: Dark Gray fabric seats with leather trim (wheel, shifter, door
handles)
Condition: little to no wear on seats, some wear on front carpet.

Power Windows, Power Door Locks
Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control
AM/FM Stereo Cassette, Factory Premium Sound System
ABS (4-Wheel)
Moon Roof, Rear Spoiler, Alloy Wheels

*** NOTE! the pricing above (which is explained below) is based on the
data and options listed above. However, the car also is equipped with
air-conditioning and a 12 disk Pioneer CD Player. The CD changer
sometimes eats CDs and the A/C currently does not work because one
component has a hole and needs to be replaced. I think it is one of the
freon lines and will cost a couple hundred dollars, including recharging
the freon. (I am selling the car for a friend, and he would rather sell
it as-is than repair the A/C) If the A/C and CD changer were in fully
working order, the Retail Value would be $6,815 and the Private Party
Value would be $4,615. ***

The following estimate is from KellyBlueBook.com
------------------------
     Retail Value $6,285
Suggested retail represents the price a dealership might ask for this
make and model vehicle. This represents a fully reconditioned vehicle in
excellent condition with a clean title history. This retail price is not
a trade-in or private-party value, but rather assumes that a dealer has
absorbed the cost of making the vehicle ready for sale, reconditioning,
advertising, sales commissions, arranging for financing and insurance
and standing behind the vehicle for any mechanical or safety problems.
Many late model vehicles at this price have passed an inspection program
or carry a warranty. Actual dealer selling price may vary from this
price.

     Private Party Value $4,175
Private Party value represents what you might expect to pay for a used
car when purchasing from a private party. It may also represent the
value you might expect to receive when selling your own used car to
another private party.

Consumer Rated Condition: Good
"Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects.
The paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and
there are no major mechanical problems. In states where rust is a
problem, this should be very minimal, and a deduction should be made to
correct it. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A
clean title history. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to
be sold at retail; however major reconditioning should be deducted from
the value. Most recent model cars owned by consumers fall into this
category.

A WV Passat? Does it come already jacked up on cinder blocks?
Will you move it to my front yard? ;-)
