The Triangle Free-Net User Interface Committee will hold its first
meeting on Tuesday, September 1, at 6:00pm at the Picadilly Cafeteria
in South Square Mall in Durham. Everyone is invited.
The User Interface Committee was formed at the first general Triangle
Free-Net meeting in order to address these and other issues:
- Evaluate existing systems
- Follow city model?
- Design main menu
- Determine easy interface for new users and good help facilities
- Design disclaimer
- Determine policies for posting and removing messages--any access
restrictions?
- Plan consistent menus and naming schemes (for example, for bulletin
boards and ask-an-expert boards)
- Plan acknowledgements for contributors
- Build prototype
- Evaluate and redesign
Please come with your ideas and energy. The Triangle Free-Net needs
your support.
If you have any questions or need directions, email me
(Michael.Grubb@bbs.oit.unc.edu) or call me in Durham (682-3700).
