I just finished up at NCSU and am moving to the DENVER CO area at the end of the month. I need to move miscellaneous furniture (not much), a lot of books (~20 boxes), clothes, and a 1987 Mazda 323 Hatchback. I am not being reimbursed for this move by my new employer, so I would like to do this move as inexpensively as possible. All my stuff would fit very nicely in a small U-Haul Trailer, except the owner's manual says "We do not recommend towing anything with this car". The smallest truck that can tow my car is a 15" truck, which is not only way too big for all my stuff, but will cost me almost $1000. I am looking for ADVICE!!! Do you know anybody moving to Colorado this month? Do they have/need room on a moving truck? Anybody have any experience with freight movers, where they pick up and deliver to the curb of your apartment/house? Please reply to either the NET or to me (wolfrum@che.ncsu.edu). I will of course summarize general moving advice and post to the net promptly. THanks in advance Ed Wolfrum wolfrum@che.ncsu.edu
