Subject: ARES Meeting

Just a reminder:

On Tuesday April 7th at 7:30 pm, Wake County ARES will hold its first Semi-Annual Planning Meeting at the Wake County Commons office park on Poole Road.

Reps from the Wake County Emergency Management Agency and the State Emergency
Response Team (SERT) will participata in the meeting.

All Amateurs are welcome to attend.  The agenda for the evening will follow a "what is ARES today, what do we want it to be, and, how do we get there?"

Topics sure to be discusses are:

1) Training and staffing - career paths in ARES,
2) Site and equipment status, -identify hams willing to "adopt-a-site"
3) ESPN - Emergency Service Packet Network - put up or shut up
4) Welcome to our W4ATC affiliate - Renaissnace and Phoenix come to mind

The two hours scheduled for this meeting are sure to pass too quickly.  Plan on
attending and participating!  Talk-In on 147.15 and 146.64 from 7:00-7:30 pm.
