Hi All

I have download ppp-2_2_0f.tar.gz, how can I install it, should I put
it on /usr/bin or /etc directory, and how can I setup the pppd.
Please tell my step by step, I am a new user in LINUX

Get a hold of the PPP HOWTO and the NET-2 HOWTO and they should
have all the info you need to get PPP up and running.
If they are not already on your system (maybe /usr/doc/faq ) then
they are available at any Linux ftp site.

Good luck
Martin

I think that you are going to have to learn how to use the program tar so
that you can de-archive the file.

Best place to put the file would be in the /usr/src directory.

Use this command line options.

tar -zxvf ppp-2_2_0f.tar.gz -C /usr/src
