A valid point about the "proof" offered. However, it is true that academia 
suffers near-total domination by liberals. This is documented. It is also 
true that these folks have been "having their way" with the facts. In 
addition, the very tenets of reason have been under assault. The duplicity 
and arrogance of these people is astounding. I notice that they usually 
refer to themselves as smart, intelligent or enlightened. In fact, many of 
them are quite intelligent. I have observed that many of these intelligent 
folks have quit thinking, and started arrogantly thinking they are right. 
They seem to have abandoned basic philosophy and reasoning skills and 
instead rely on a  faith in their own infallibility. That is the hallmark of 
the true liberal, a person who if he used the head he was gifted with, would 
grow up and quit pretending the fantasy of utopia was real. In fact, if the 
liberal were to examine the ideas he/she lived by, and put them in a 
historical perspective, would be appalled at the similarities between their 
thinking and of those historic figures who are regarded as butchers and 
repressors. I won't cite sources and facts anymore to these folks, because 
it is foolish to try to deconstruct an argument with logic, when it is not 
founded upon logic. All I can say is that the same facts are available to 
all of us. In order to be a liberal, you have to have a goal in mind when 
you seek "the truth' and only listen to the information that fits a frame 
around that which you seek. Also it is helpful if you keep any dissident 
thinking out of your organizations. If you don't see that this is happening 
in American schools, you are BLIND! Again, it is irrefutable. Meanwhile, 
back at the Alamo; I guess the basic issue we have to deal with in this 
thread is really slavery, and not so much the Alamo legends. On that note, I 
could really cover some ground, but why do your homework for you? I am not 
any sort of expert on the Alamo, and I only know the legendary story. But I 
do know that by tying slavery to it, a certain segment of our culture will 
get it's jollies by denigrating our heritage. As for slavery, I see the same 
old worn out crap, and much of it historically incorrect. I suggest reading 
"The End of Racism" by Dinesh DeSouza, just as a primer. Check out some of 
the bibliography, and explore some of the listed sources, and see if you 
might have embarrassed yourself a time or two on this subject. (I suspect 
so). If you learn anything, it will probably be how little you knew about a 
subject you wielded like a sword.
