"...On Jan. 21, Jeremiah Glassman, chief of the Department of 
Justice's civil rights division, told the university's general 
counsel, Dale Pat Campbell, that his office was looking into 
the complaint, and asked for copies of the university's 
policies on letters of recommendation."

He can't catch a demented killer that sends anthrax through 
the mails, he can't catch the terrorists because he says his 
Justice dept manpower is stretched to breaking point.  Odd 
that the Holy Roller religious nut Ashcroft can however find 
suffiecient time and manpower to go after a Biology professor 
who refuses to give recommendations to students who reject 
evolution.  He does not fail them or in any other way 
discriminate, he simply will not write letters of 
recommendation for those students.

"The central, unifying principle of biology is the theory of 
evolution," Dr. Dini wrote. "How can someone who does not 
accept the most important theory in biology expect to properly 
practice in a field that is so heavily based on biology?"

I wouldn't be surprised to see the IRS suddenly do a tax audit 
on this guy, and since he is in Texas he and his family and 
possessions certainly aren't very secure either.

It's a wonderful time we live in with many interesting people 
leading us.
