But what are our alternatives? Let Sadaam Hussein become another Fidel Castro - linked to terrorism the way Castro was to the USSR; a thorn in the side of America for 20 or 30, maybe 40 years? Lift sanctions completely and wait until he uses chemical or nuclear weapons to attack another nation (probably Israel)? I think the rest of the world seems to think we should do the first - keep Sadaam in his box, humiliated, where he can fester and seeth. They of course aren't the ones who Sadaam will be seething against - we are. Honestly, we would all be much better off had Bush Sr. gone ahead and knocked Sadaam out in 1992. But that's crying over spilt milk. Our options in dealing with Sadaam are very limited at this point. I for one think it'd be best to lift sanctions and wait. Of course we'd have to mobilize troops and leave them in the Persian Gulf long term, so that we can launch an all out assault on Iraq within 24 hours of any attack made by Sadaam Hussein on another nation. -- Adam Weiss -- "What a trip. Is this really happening?" "No my friend. It's a crazy cocktail of Franz Kafka and Mark Twain"
