IMHO, you are doing both. 42,000 car accidents comes to 16.15 deaths per 100,000, disproving your earlier statement that the rate of deaths to gun fire is higher. > > >They do fear a public that is highly armed and willing to shoot to maintain > >their God Given, Constitutionally Recognized Rights. > > Here we go with the GOD GIVEN RIGHTS... The same founding fathers who wrote the Constitution also wrote the Declaration of Independence, which states: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that Man is endowed by the Creator with certain inalienable rights..." In other words, our rights weren't granted by the government; we had them all along, and we create government for the purpose of securing these rights. The Constitution contained only a partial enumeration of these rights; the Ninth Amendment even expressly states such. > Your goal to kill not maintain a balance of power. GUNS do not do > this. Violence never lead to anything except blood shed. It was the use of orchestrated violence that ended Nazism in Germany, Fascism in Italy, and Militarism in Japan. I hope we do not see a rebirth of Fascism in the USA but if it does, it will end the same way. -- JRF Reply-to address spam-proofed - to E-mail reply, check "Organization" and think one step ahead of IBM.
