A few of them assimilate.  However, many of them still speak Spanish as 
their primary language after several generations in the US and seem to be 
more loyal to Mexico than to the USA.  Even Blacks find the influence of 
Mexicans bad for their education which has led, like White Flight in the 
past to Black Flight from substandard schools, dumbed down in order to deal 
with Mexican children.
