When I was in the 6th grade I had a reading teacher who was part of a program
committee to come up with a new special education program.  They were going
to get rid of the name "Special Education" because everyone had figured out
that it meant "Dumb as Dirt."  The name that was being batted around for the
students was "Diamonds," because they were so "precious."  Her comment was
that they were being called "Diamonds" because their heads were hard as
rocks.

Now, I admit this is being pretty cruel, but come on.  Changing the name of
a program because everyone figured out what it meant?
