Good one.  I might have to try it sometime, especially with the people from the
Texas State Troopers Association and other police associations who are always
hitting me up for a donation.  These guys don't need my money anyway, and about
75 or 80 percent of it goes to the telemarketing organization, according to
some of Steve Blow's columns in the Dallas Morning News.

I also like what Jerry Seinfeld said on his show a couple months ago when he
got a call from some long distance company:

 Telemarketer: Good evening, sir.  I'm calling from [some long distance
   company].  Would you like to switch to our service?
 Jerry: Well, I really don't have time to talk to you right now.  Why don't you
   give me your home phone number and I'll call you back later?
 Telemarketer: Uh, I'm really not supposed to do that, sir.
 Jerry: Oh, I see.  You don't want people to bother you at home.
 Telemarketer: Right.
 Jerry: Good.  Now you know how I feel.  (hangs up)
