You are incorrect, Clark;
The law, as it is posted ubiquitously along Texas highways, reads
SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT . However these four simple words together
mean nothing to many drivers.
I will attempt to explain;
RIGHT refers to the right (outside) lane.
KEEP means stay; in ther words, get over and stay.
TRAFFIC is any motor vehicle allowed on the public highway
SLOWER if a vehicle is travelling, or attempting to travel faster
than the vehicle you are in, then you *are* slower traffic.
There is no mention of velocity or the speed limit. Other
vehicles will either be traveling faster, slower,
or possibly the same velocity, regardless of the posted
limit.
SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT means if other vehicles are traveling, or
attempting to travel faster than the vehicle you are in, then get over
to the right lane and stay!
This is the posted law, Clark.
