				  YET ANOTHER
	       NEW VERSION OF THEnet's DECnet CONFIGURATION FILE
				  (YANVOTDCF)
	       *************************************************

	There are new versions of THENET_NODES.COM and THENET_NODES_FULL.COM
	available on THENIC. This version contains updates, deletions, and
	additions.

	To obtain a copy, issue the following command:

	    $ COPY THENIC""::[.DECNET]THENET_NODES.COM []
				and/or
	    $ COPY THENIC""::[.DECNET]THENET_NODES_FULL.COM []

	These files are also available via anonymous ftp to host
	nic.the.net in the [.DECNET] directory.

			     ***IMPORTANT***
	You can now update your DECnet database without retrieving
	THENET_NODES.COM every month by using the UPDATE_THENET_NODEDEFS
	utility. You can execute UPDATE_THENET_NODEDEFS remotely from your
	site without copying it from THENIC. Issue the following command
	to retrieve the documentation for UPDATE_THENET_NODEDEFS:

	$ COPY THENIC::[.DECNET.NODEUPD]UPDATE_THENET_NODEDEFS.USER_GUIDE []

	If you are using the DIFFNODES utility to update your DECnet
	database, you are encouraged to switch to UPDATE_THENET_NODEDEFS
	since it is the replacement for DIFFNODES.

	Updates
	----------------------------------------------------------
	To make updates, make changes to your area in the
	THENET_NODES_FULL.COM file and mail only your area to THENIC::THEMODS
	or themods@nic.the.net.
