I am looking for the perfect cast iron skillet. I want a deep pan,
like a dutch oven, but with a handle. They are commonly referred to as
"chicken fryers". I would like a large one, though, preferably with a
diameter of 9 or 10 inches. I've tried looking at flea markets and such
with no luck. Any info would be appreciated.

The perfect cast iron skillet cannot be purchased, it must be created by the
user! That is accomplished by seasoning, using it to fry in, and rarely ever
washing it with soap and water. As for the size you are looking for, I see
them frequently at flea markets as well as cooking stores. I've had my set
for years. I cook in my as frequently as I can.

I've seen large cast iron skillets at Walmart, SAMS, and at some hardware stores. Hope this helps.
