These buses were designed by idiots. The seating reminds me of fast food restaurants where the seats are purposely designed to be uncomfortable so people don't sit there forever. The bus seats are VERY uncomfortable, and I'm only 6'2". On the older buses, I can nestle into the back seat or lean up against a window while reading. You can't do this on hardly any forward-facing seats in the new ones because the leg room is almost nonexistent. The seat right behind the rear door is especially dumb ... there is some thing on the floor beside the wall which looks like the well around a tire (it isn't, that is farther back). I like the emergency mechanism to open the rear doors -- it is located up near the ceiling and behind a partition!! Are these buses intentionally designed for "short people"? The new Skytrain cars also have seats with very little leg room between the doors and the ends of the cars. >4) There is an irritatingly long delay in the mechanism for opening the >rear doors. They should put signs which give instructions in a couple of dozen languages, that might help as well (especially English). ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out my home page -- http://web20.mindlink.net/a4369/ -- location of the award-winning Hawaii Five-O Home Page, X-Files stuff & much more!
