My band, The Flu, a serious, intending-to-tour, soon-to-release-a-CD, but
not-yet-full-time chaotic rock 'n' roll guitar pop band, has been seeking a
bass player (who might sing a little too) since July. We've had a few
options, but we're still looking.

Ideal candidates should (a) be able to play the bass, but don't need to
read music or be the next Les Claypool or anything, (b) have a desire to
sing backup and maybe some lead vocals (we alternate between the two
guitarists and me, the drummer, right now), (c) like to write songs that
fit vaguely in the Crowded House/Midnight Oil/Kinks/Beatles/Blue
Rodeo/Elvis Costello range, or at least be willing to drag us in some other
direction, and (d) either live in the Vancouver, B.C. area or not mind
coming here for awhile.

We plan to release an indie 10-track CD in a month or two (the recording is
mostly done) and would like to do a short tour of the west coast of the
States in January. Currently we all have day jobs.

Anyone interested can mail me or phone (604) 434-5092.

Thanks.
