Ferron w/band, Album Release Tour, Friday, March 18, 7:30pm & 9:30pm (No
opening act), $16.50

Canadian singer-songwriter Ferron returns to The Palms with a band in
celebration of her new release Driver. For those unfamiliar with the
immense talent of Ferron, she is considered by many to be the single most
powerful artist performing today. Not simply a songwriter, Ferron is more a
poet or visionary wise beyond her years, whose performances reach
impressive emotional, intellectual, and even comedic heights, stirring the
soul like few others.
"Ferron has what moves me the most....I love Ferron and her work."-Shawn
Colvin
"If I was dying or being born, the music I'd be hearing, I think, would
sound
like Ferron."-Greg Brown
"Thanks to Ferron for being on this earth."-John Gorka

The Palms is located at 726 Drummond Ave. in S. Davis, off of the Mace Blvd
exit from I-80. Tickets are available from Recycle Records in Davis
(916-756-4943), the Howe Ave. Box Office (916-920-1121), the Community
Center Box office (916-264-5181), all Bass/Ticketmaster outlets
(916-923-2277), and at the door on the day of the show if it's not sold
out. For more information, call (916) 756-9901.

She's also playing dates in S.F. and Santa Cruz after the 18th, but I don't
know when. I'm not getting any material compensation for this. I just
like to rave about great, underpublicized talent.
