The Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory will be open to the public on
Saturday and Sunday 3-4 July 1999 from 10.30 am to 5 pm. Admission is
free. Visitors will be able to see the latest in astronomical hardware
as well
as historic radio telescopes dating back to the 1950s. Professional
astronomers will be on hand to describe the telescopes and answer
questions.

The Observatory is at Lord's Bridge, about 8 km SW of Cambridge on the
A603. From Junction 12 on the M11, head S through Barton and use the
southerly entrance to the site, clearly signposted.
