This is to let you know about a performance of Shakespeare's Romeo and
Juliet which is happening at the ADC Theatre, Cambridge, England from
23rd to 27th July. It will be directed by Paul King, a student at the
University, whose recent productions both in Cambridge and at the
Edinburgh Fringe have received a lot of attention from the critics. The
cast and crew have been brought together especially for the event, and
all have a great deal of experience and talent.

Paul is a big fan of Berkoff, and the production will reflect this;
rumour has it that he intends to use "an awful lot of hints without being
blatant." Certainly the set design conforms to this ideal, with a very
simple, basic structure holding a number of carefully chosen features
which should be effective yet not intrusive. The whole design ethos has
been to remain uncluttered and therefore to allow the acting of this
exciting play to flow.

Advance booking is through the Arts Theatre Box Office on +44 (1223)
504444. Further information is available at
http://rhubarb.trin.cam.ac.uk/ or by e-mailing pjcr100@cam.ac.uk.

I could find nothing about R&J on this page (or even on the ADC page
linked to it). (Only an inability to distinguish between "its and
"it's":-) Perhaps you could give us the precise url? Meanwhile I notice
that Open Hand is staging a Shakespeare festival over the next couple of
months: for the last two years they have been magic!

Sorry everybody! Andrew jumped the gun somewhat in that I haven't quite got
the CamFest pages ready and on line yet (oops - dissertation nightmare...)
Everything *should* be there by the end of today, and it'll be off

Many apologies for the delay! :(
