Save KJAZ.
In the March 27 - April 2 1994 datebook section of the San Francisco
chronicle, it has been reported that KJAZ, 92.7 FM, in the
San Francisco Bay Area may close. KJAZ is the only surviving
24 hour all jazz station in the country. It is truly one of a kind.
The SF Chronicle article reports that the current owner of the
92.7 frequency may sell his license and 92.7 FM will no longer
carry 24 hour jazz.
You can help prevent this tragedy.
KJAZ has a toll free 24 hour number where listeners and supporters
can call in and leave their name and adress so that KJAZ may
demonstrate that there is a demand for jazz. If you love jazz
or just want to help support a station where jazz, old and
new, can be played then call the following number. It's
easy and free.
1-800-359-6447
Please call. I am not an employee of KJAZ. I am not paid by them
either. I am just a fanatical jazz fan who wants to see
a good station stay on the air.
By leaving your name, it shows potential buyers that there is a
market for an all jazz station. Please help.
Please feel free to cross post this to any other group
that may be appropriate.
