Our society is currently undergoing a paradigm shift in how we view our food
and the environment. Come and learn about the power of our food choices and
their effects on all life and the planet.

We will begin the evening's presentation with a 30-minute video showing of
Diet for a New America, by John Robbins, the Pulitzer Prize-nominated author
and founder of EarthSave. John Robbins would have inherited the
Baskin-Robbins ice cream business, but gave it up so that he could tell the
world about the new realities behind animal agriculture in modern-day food
production. His books and videos offer a compelling and uplifting message
that has enriched the lives of thousands.

After the video, we will hear a short talk from Howard Lyman, founder of
Voice for a Viable Future, and a former Montana cattle rancher. He will
offer first-hand accounts of what modern-day agricultural practices entail
as he tells his story of how and why he became an advocate for farmers and
consumers.

We will follow with a brief discussion period between audience members,
Howard Lyman, and representatives from Berkeley Students for Animal
Liberation (BSAL) and EarthSave.

Admission is free. Everyone is welcome to attend. Refreshments will be
provided. For more information, call (510) 843-6343 or (510) 845-1735.
