Summary: Room for rent, Northside, VERY close to UCB, $400/mo. Room for rent in a converted studio. Your own private, locked room and kitchen, but you share the bathroom w/ 1 person. Yes, this place is ACROSS THE STREET from campus! It is next door to Etcheverry and less than one block away from Cory, Davis, Bechtel, Evans. About 2 blocks away from the Giannini, Wellman, Mulford, Tolman, GPB area. The place is: a 11' x 13' room (larger than dorm room) with a connecting 7' x 11' kitchen. The room is newly painted (I did it myself ~June 20th). The bathroom is shared with one other person (who is hardly ever home). The kitchen has a 4-burner stove, an oven, a fridge/freezer (mid-sized, but more than big enough for one person), and a table. There is *plenty* of shelf space as well. The room is unfurnished, although an old desk (with a new 2 ft x 4 ft desktop) has been handed down from tenant to tenant. There is also a 6 ft. stand-alone book-shelf w/ 5 shelves and a dining table, all of which can probably either stay or go. It is located on the east side of the building with 3 windows providing very much light and a great view of the second floor of Etcheverry Hall. The room is generally very quiet, although there is some slight street noise during the rush hours of 8-9 am and 5-6 pm. It is an *excellent* place to study, and ideal for someone in MechE (across the street!), EECS, CS, MCB, etc. It will be availble just in time for the fall semester-- around Aug. 21, 22, or 23. The rent is only $400/mo. total (ie, includes all utilities). Total move-in is about $800. Call Arvind 540-8734 (best time is 8-12 at night), or leave email (not as good as calling) at arvind@ucsee c60a-zi@volga arvind@ocf
