Thanks in advance for reading this message.
In December of 1992 I graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science
in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering.
For the last 6 months I've been looking for an entry level position in either
of these fields or any other related engineering field (Environmental, etc.)
with no luck.
I'm running out of ideas and time. I really need to find a job soon. I was
hoping someone on the Internet might be able to help me. If you might have any
advice on landing an entry level engineering position I would really appreciate
hearing from you. I would also appreciate it if anyone could provide me with
the names of companies they think might be hiring recent graduates or a
contact with an engineering firm with whom I might be able to discuss my job
search.
I am willing to take a temporary position or an intern position or anything at
all as long as I can get some engineering experience in the process.
I would really appreciate any help. Please respond via email to
turin@soda.Berkeley.edu. What follows is a brief description of my
qualifications:

several databases. Cataloged and searched Library of
Congress records.
1992 Mechanical Engineering Department, University of California
at Berkeley: Performed a wide variety of lab work including
emissions and performance analysis of internal combustion
engines, pilot plant studies of a steam generation power
plant, and investigation of journal bearing characteristics
under a range of operating conditions.
1992 Earthquake Engineering Research Center: Provided computer
support for research staff. Solely responsible for an
international on-line book loan system. Trained successor
to this position.
1991 Nuclear Engineering Department, University of California at
Berkeley: Led a lab team performing studies of kinetics of
nuclear reactions and radioactive decay, pilot plant studies
