nothing personal, but from the october motorcyclist:

hg v-pilot $285.95 (and shipping ran me $8)
my post of recent: v-pilot, 44, perf. cond. -- $225 (free shipping)

weren't these the items you wore when you had the infamous wheelie-gone-bad
episode?

Price is negotiable, of course. I'll make it worthwhile to buy it by
beating mail-order.

Was yours an older jacket, or were you being Santa Claus? I'm basing
the price on what I paid for it and what it goes for through mail order.

Unfortunately, the only thing between the tar and me was my denim. I didn't
hit my head, and the jacket got off without a scratch. 'Stupidity, thy
name is newbie,' indeed -- a mere low-speed unscheduled getoff.

But thanks for remembering ;).

BTW, why am I selling? I'm a student; after summer, riding mainly on
weekends in the Berkeley hills; need a jacket which I can wear off the bike
as well as on. The red/blk HG is, like race leathers, very conspicuous
away from the bike.

Need to pay the rent, so I want a cheaper jacket (yes, I'm down to chiseling
a couple of hundred bucks). And the helmet? Well, a Blaze is very squidlike
and flashy (not that these are bad things, mind you) but .. err ... I'd
rather have a lighter, better helmet in a solid color. What, you don't
buy that? Well, maybeitdoesn'tmatchthebike. There. I've said it. YMMV.
