we just moved, and discovered that our large desk for our basement study will not fit down the narrow basement stairs. :( we were offering one of our desks for sale for $30, but now we are willing to give this away, because there is no place for it in our house and our storage is... right. in the basement. :( so, it is big and heavy, off-white, institutional with 2 file drawers, and a return (so that it can be a corner desk) that has a compartment with mail slot/sorting shelves with a door in front (i can't explain this well, but it is very handy). whoever contacts me first *and* can haul it away soonest gets it. it is a good desk -- we have a mate to it that we are keeping for the kids homework. if only it were 1/2 inch narrower!!! email only, please. peg pmm7@midway.uchicago.edu
