Okay folks, I'll teach you how you can use MM to keep and manage a
record of your outgoing mail, and in return I hope someone will teach ME
how to use the headers command sensibly to actually do the managing.

At the MM prompt, type the following:

MM>set saved-messages-file out.box
MM>save-init

(The second command is required to save your changes to the MM environment)

Henceforth, whenever you send a message, MM appends a copy of it to the
file out.box, in the mail-directory (which is usually your home
directory, but you can alter this).

To examine out.box, type the following:

MM>get out.box

This changes the current mail file from mail.txt to out.box. It reads
exactly the same as your normal mail file. For example, if you now type

MM>headers all

you get a list of all the headers and subjects of the mail you've sent.
Flagging, deleting, and so forth are all the same. Neat, huh?

Note: don't send mail while you're examining out.box. It won't be able
to keep a copy because the file is already in use. To return to your
normal mail file, type

MM>get

You can get help on any topic in MM by typing

MM>help <topic>
eg
MM>help set saved-messages-file
MM>help set ?
MM>help ?

------------

Unfortunately, one would like to see whom all the contents of out.box
were sent TO. The headers command tells you who they were FROM, ie you,
which is no help. Anyone know how to fix this?

Alternatively, could anyone write a shell script that goes through
out.box on demand and replaces all the From: lines with the appropriate
To: lines? This would do nicely.
