Fellow Chinese:
Everyone might have already learned that a leader of
Defending Diaoyu movement from Hong Kong, David Chan (Chen Yu
Xiang), had given his life to the cause of China's dignity and
territorial integrity.
Chinese all over the world are expressing their utmost sorrow
for David Chan the martyr. We also want to show to the world our
uncompromising determination to defend the Diaoyu Islands as an
inseparable part of Chinese territory.
A memorial gathering and candlelight vigil is planned this
SUNDAY (Oct 6) at Chinatown Square, starting 3:00pm. All
concerned people are invited.
All Chinese, regardless of their place of birth or political
persuations, should
organize and unite to confront the renewed threat of Japanese
aggression and militarism. A special memorial committee of
Chinese in Chicago is established for this occasion. The Chairman
of the committee is the honorable Chicago Baodiao participant in
the 1970s, Mr. Zhou Zhao-xi, who is from Hong Kong, and the
committee includes Mr. Lin Hsiaw Hsin, Mr. Chen Xiquan, Mr. Xie
Xihui, etc..
To contact the memorial committee, call 842-8944
