Hiking somewhere between here and DeKalb?

After several years as a carless student and the University of
Chicago, I'm renting a car tomorrow to drive to DeKalb for a meeting.
I'd love to stop off for an hour's hike somewhere on the way...
as a Canadian used to living 10 mins from the woods I'd love to
see some green space when I can.

Anyone have any ideas about interesting green spaces along the way?

Thanks, Martin

Martin,

Get off 88 at Rte 31 and head north. Go up to Geneva to Fabyan's park,
just north of Fabyan Parkway. It's got some nice trails along the Fox
River. After your hike, you can catch Rte 38 (further north along 31)
and head out to DeKalb.

The Morton Arboretum in Naperville is wonderful, too.

Glenn
