On Friday, Feb 9, Senator Fitzgerald of the Illinois State
Legislature introduced SB 1773, a bill that would prohibit the
state from recognizing same-sex marriage.

I have drafted a petition condemning this effort. If you want to
be neato-keep-way-hip and sign it with your Web browser, go to
<URL:http://http.bsd.uchicago.edu/~t-pierce/marriage.cgi>.
Contact me if you live in Illinois and want to help distribute
this petition: I can send you either an electronic version or a
paper version.
