The interface is, in fact, surprisingly nice -- TV remote for browsing
about, lightweight infrared keyboard for actually typing with a handy
built-ins (open URL, &c.) and everything.  On-screen explication of
features never used before was actually relevant and informative (not that
we took much time reading it).  I don't _know_ that it's possible to
disable the safety features (like the one which wouldn't let us post to a
group it didn't know about, e.g. uchi.test.d), but I'm guessing that it
might be if you have clue, time, and a non-demo account.  Text was
sufficient, graphics were great, and it was fast.

Scary, eh?

who's still a bit of a net.elitist and is still annoyed by the WebTV
spamming of talk.bizarre, but also still thinks that the Levi's Tainted
Love commercial should have beat those HBO monkey-shines for the Emmy hands
down, so hey, take it with a grain of salt.
